Easy Bread

Today we made easy bread and to be honest today was a struggle. We had a few problems but we were still able to get through it.  We are still waiting to see what the ending results are. These were the following ingredients. Step 1:  2 Cups of Plain Flour, 1 tsp sugar 1 packet of yeast 1 cup of warm water 1/4 c of milk 1 egg 1/2 cup oil 1/2 tsp of salt It was not an easy thing to make today but we still managed to not give up and just push ourselves. So the outcome was that, as the photo shows on the left. It tastes nice, even better with butter and jam   

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Today for Food Tech we made Chocolate muffins and I think May, Pauline and I worked very hard. We were focused during our cooking, we didn't have any distractions and we cleaned as we go so it made us finish early. These were the steps we had to follow Step 1 - 11/2 cup of S.R Flour - 1/2 cup of sugar - 1/2 cup of oil - 1/2 Cup of milk - 1 egg - 1/4 Cocoa 1 tsp Vanilla essence and last but not least Chocolate chips. Step 2 Mix well and serve it to muffin tray, bake 180 degrees for 15 minutes. We followed the steps very carefully and I think we did a very good job of making it, I guess its time to wait what the outcome is going to look like. 10 minutes later: Well as the photo is shown on top, it looks really nice. Time to dig in.

Today we learned about what the effects are of Smoking Tabacco. Smoking can damage a lot of parts in your body such as your lungs  What are the 2 main Functions of your lungs? Breathing in and out  Filtering out dust  Healthy Lung Light Pink Red tissue Unhealthy Lung  Black Orange  Filtering out chemicals 

Peach Cobbler

Today for Food Tech, we made Peach Cobblers. We assembled ourselves into our groups and today I was with May. We were a good team, May grabbed the ingredients and measured them well and I turned on the oven and got some baking paper to put in our baking tin. The ingredients/instructions we use for today was : - 1 1/2  cup of S.R Flour - 1 tsp of cinnamon - 1/2 cup of milk - 1/2 cup of sugar - 1/4 c of oil -1 egg - mix well, scoop into the baking tin and top up with a peach slice, splash brown sugar, and cinnamon on top -Bake 180degrees for 20 mins on top Well, it looks alright I guess. Now its time to taste.

Burger Buns

Today for food tech we (Pauline and I) made Burger Buns, it was an easy thing to make today and as we were kneading it, we knew that we did it right because it wasn't too watery or too sticky, it was just right, well to me it was right. As I write this, our buns are rising and as I can see it looks nice and brown, not too brown but just right. It was weird when Ms said to turn off the oven when we put in the buns but then I realized why we needed to turn it off. It is now out of the oven and it looks nice, can't wait to eat it.

Chocolate Muffins

Today for Food Tech, we baked chocolate muffins and it was a good session because there was no fuss about it. The ingredients were easy to measure and we did the right amount because the results came out pretty good. We mixed the ingredients well and we put in the right amount into the muffin liner and there was enough for everyone in my group. The ingredients we use to make the muffin included Self-raising flour, sugar, 1 egg, cocoa, chocolate chips, milk, oil, and vanilla essence. I really enjoyed this period cooking muffins, can't wait to see what we're going to cook next.

Cooking Hot Cakes in Food Tech

Today for Period 3, we made Hot Cakes with Mrs. Tuipulotu. We started off by grabbing the ingredients and started whisking them all together. In our ingredients, we had Sugar, Flour, Milk, and 1 egg, we got given how measurements so that the pancake would be cooked right and the texture would be good. During this period of time, my cooking team (Mele and Jayden) were very useful and helpful, everyone participated. Jayden whisked the ingredients, Mele grabbed the ingredients and I got the frying pan ready so when the ingredients were mixed we can just put make the hotcakes. We all flipped the hot cakes and we made sure it wouldn't get burn. I enjoyed today's lesson and I can't wait to taste what my group made.
